Menino Fernandes, popularly known as Menino de Bandar, President of Tiatr Academy of Goa paid tributes to Late Regina Fernandes, the first woman on the Konkani stage on her birth anniversary along with Mario Menezes, Vice President and Cezar D’Mello, Member Secretary and staff by garlanding her portrait.
Due to the pandemic situation, the function could not be organised on a large scale but her contribution to the tiatr was remembered by the president Menino de Bandar. In his speech, he said that we are celebrating her 140th anniversary and she was the first woman on the Konkani stage who gave us the lead and later many followed.
