MARGAO: Salcete FC got the better of Dunes Sports Club 4-1 in the GFA U-15 Division League, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Monday.
Salcete FC who have been a dominant force through out the season, broke the deadlock in the 16th minute through Slone Thereza.
Spurred by the success, Salcete intensified their attack and Josley Gomes who was in thick action doubled the lead. Stung by the double blows, Uday Narse reduced the margin before the break.
Crossing over, Salcete FC continued to dictate terms and Josley Gomes struck twice in the 42nd and 53rd minutes to complete his hat-trick.
The team has been consistent in their performances and has displayed a strong team spirit, which has helped them overcome challenges and secure crucial wins.
