MARGAO: Sao Jose de Areal beat SC Davorlim 6-5 via the tie-breaker and moved to the quarter-finals of 6th Martin Cup, organised by Betalbatim Sports Club, at Betalbatim panchayat ground, on Wednesday.

William Niasso opened the score-line for Davorlim. Minutes later, Monty Valadares equalised for Areal.

In the tie-breaker, Sao Jose de Areal proved to be better shooters.

William Niasso of SC Davorlim was presented the man of the match award by Franky Rogtav General Secretary Betalbatim SC.

MARGAO: Curtorim Gymkhana blanked Our Lady Of Gloria SC 2-0 to move to the final of the Fr Gervasio football tournament, at Figureido ground, Curchorem, on Wednesday.Anslem Fernandes of Curtorim netted a brace for Curtorim in the 33rd and 36th minutes respectively.The man of the match award was presented to Anslem Fernandes of Curtorim Gymkhana at the hands of Christie Bennett.
