Traditional food is the best: Amita Salatri

PANAJIThe parents should see to it that their child gets to eat traditional food on a regular basis to keep them healthy, stated actor and writer Amita Nayak Salatri. Salatri was speaking at a cooking competition organised for the parents of Kid’s Palace Pre-primary Vidyalaya at Damde Karasvada in Mapusa. Salatri who was present on the occasion as a chief guest and judge to the completion, advised the parents to learn cooking the traditional, nutritional Goan recipes and keep their kids and family away from junk food. Sangita Hadfadkar gave the welcome speech and introduced Salatri who gave away the prizes to the winners of the competition. The first prize was bagged by Akshata Gaonkar, second by Samitha Morajkar, third by Yamuna and consolation prizes were given to Pratiksha Naik, Sushma Gaonkar, Sneha Pednekar and Dipika Naik.
