MARGAO: Uguem Rising Club downed Fr Agnel YSC Paroda 3-1 to move to the quarterfinals of the 16th St.Anthony Festival Cup 2024, organised by St Anthony FC Assolda, at Moll ground, Assolda, on Friday.
Rising club of Uguem goalkeeper Jerico Da Costa was the star of the match with lots of saves from the strikers of Paroda. Francisco Fernandes of Uguem Rising scored in the eighth minute. As the match progresed, in the 12th minute, Francis Fernandes doubled the lead for Uguem. Pratimesh Gaonkar netted the third for Uguem in the 36th minute. Omkar Gaonkar pulled a goal back for Paroda in the 40th minute.
