Verna PS declared Goa’s best police station

VASCO: In a proud moment for Mormugao Taluka, the Verna Police Station has been declared the best police station in the State for 2022.

The Verna police also received a certificate issued by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, declaring Verna as the best police station in Goa.

Verna PI Diago Gracias and Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh received the certificate of best police station of Goa from DGP Goa Jaspal Singh on Tuesday. The Verna Police Station had excelled in all parameters laid down by the union home ministry and had stood first in Goa.

Book, ‘Cultural Studies: Theory...’ released at GU

PANAJI: The book, ‘Cultural Studies: Theory and Methodology’ authored by Prof K Sripad Bhat, Dean, Shenoi Goembab School of Languages and Literature was released at the hands of Prof Harilal B Menon, Vice-Chancellor of Goa University who congratulated the author for coming out with an authoritative book on cultural studies.
