BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus celebrated National Science Day on February 28 by conducting a workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship Skills, Attitude & Behaviour Development’ by Kiran Mehta, Investor & Founder Sridham Enterprises LLP. Mehta is also the Head Incubation & Innovation at FiiRE and a serial entrepreneur. The workshop was tailored to equip students and faculty with the essential skills and mindset required to navigate the world of entrepreneurship successfully. The programme commenced with lighting the traditional lamp and Saraswati vandana, setting a spiritual tone. Thereafter, Prof Saroj Sundar Baral, Faculty-In-charge, Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship; and Prof Meenak Kowshik, Dean - Administration delivered their inaugural and welcome remarks to the Chief Guest Kiran Mehta.
During the session, Mehta shared insights into the future of science and innovation, igniting a passion for discovery among attendees. Aligned with the theme "Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat" by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the event showcased ten startups, with nearly 70 participants sharing groundbreaking ideas. During the event, seven faculty members and two student startups from BITS Pilani Goa Campus presented their innovative ideas and products to the gathering.
