PANAJI: On the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, also known as World Drug Day, observed every year on June 26, St Joseph Vaz College took proactive measures to empower young people and communities in preventing drug use and addiction.
In collaboration with the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell), the Department of Chemistry organized an awareness session in the college seminar hall on June 28.
The session was attended by BSc students, teaching staff, and delivered by Angela Serrao, Assistant Professor in Chemistry and IQAC Coordinator.
During the event, a pledge was taken to strengthen global action and cooperation towards achieving a drug-free world.
