PANAJIThe Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration will celebrate World Food Safety Day on June 17 at Hotel Fidalgo, Panaji from 10 am onwards. The Directorate has planned several programmes and the inaugural function will be held at 10 am which will be followed by release of IEC Material, presentation of report of activities and a Doodle Drawing Competition on the theme “Eat Right Goa” for class VIII to X for various schools. There will also be a meeting with the Municipal Chief Officers, FBO Meet and discussion and a session for FDA Officers on Nutrition. At the State Food Safety Index Awards, this year, Goa was awarded the Best Performing State in the Small States Category for the fourth consecutive year. Panaji was awarded among the top 11 smart cities under the Smart City Challenge and North Goa District has emerged in the list of Top 75 Districts under the Eat Right District Challenge.
