Kala Academy Goa’s College of Theatre Arts will be celebrating World Theatre Day on March 27 at 10 am at Black Box in the presence of Govind Gaude, chairman, KA and theatre personality Ravindra Amonkar. The programme would begin with a talk by Fr Milton Rodrigues, assistant professor in Konkani at Fr Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar. He would speak on ‘Life and work of C Alvares’ in the commemoration of the birth anniversary of C Alvares. The talk would be followed by the performance of prize-winning participants of the All Goa Online Monologue competition. There will be performances by the first year and second-year students of the College of Theatre Arts. Thereafter theatre director and actor Afsar Hussain will present a solo performance, ‘Amina Aapa ka Radio’, followed by a prize distribution function and speeches by the guests as well as member secretary, KA Pravin Barad and principal Ramrao Wagh of College of Theatre.
