PANAJI: Yuva organised a sapling plantation drive at the IMS Vasco campus under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative. The event, aimed at fostering a deeper connection with Mother Earth, garnered enthusiastic participation from various dignitaries and students alike. The programme held recently was graced by notable figures including RFO Ponda, Shefali Naik, IMS Director Shivram Kamat, and faculty member Heston Dias.
Also present were key members of Yuva like Raghuvir Mahale, Harsh Desai, Vaman Sankhalker, and the Green Team ” a passionate club of IMS students dedicated to environmental conservation. The initiative saw the successful planting of 30 saplings comprising both flowering and fruit-bearing varieties. The event was part of Yuva’s ongoing collaboration with the Goa Forest Department in promoting green initiatives across the State by engaging school and college communities.
