Defexpo will bring lot of opportunities to Goa: Parsekar

Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said that the Defexpo 2016 will bring a lot of opportunities to Goa in the field of defence and procurement.
“I don’t look at Defexpo only for tourism or for hotels or because it will bring a lot of tourists in non-peak season; but it will actually give us a lot of opportunities in defence and procurement,” Parsekar said while speaking at Confederation of Indian industry (CII) Goa Annual Day 2016. Parsekar also said that there was a lot of hue and cry about Defexpo. He said, “My government has a clean image, which was becoming a hurdle in the path of opposition. The government overcame all the noise and misconception about Defexpo. The opposition voices have now come down as they are almost neutralized"
In the meanwhile, Shekhar Sardessai has been selected as the new chairman of CII’s Goa chapter for the financial year 2016-17. Sardessai is the chairman of Kineco Pvt Ltd and is a leading industrialist from Goa. Prior to him, Parag Joshi, managing partner, Jutex, was the chairman of CII’s Goa chapter
