PONDA: The JCI Ponda and Curti Khandepar Panch Sandeep Khandeparkar will jointly organise a programme ‘Nirbhaya’ to empower women folk at the volleyball court in Ponda, on March 13 between 9.30 am and 5 pm.
Addressing a news conference in Ponda, Mukesh Kavlekar of JCI and Sandeep Khandeparkar provided details of the one-day event for women from Ponda city.
Khandeparkar said women play vital role in the society and hence they should be empowered in the field of their choice.
The organisers have planned four onstage and four offstage competitions to mark the International Women's Day.
In the offstage competitions, women can participate in competitions like Mehandi, hair styles, weaving flowers and preparing veg and non-veg dishes, while dancing, singing and saree competitions will be held on onstage.
