Speaking to The Goan, CLP spokesperson Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco stated, “Although there are not many differences between the Opposition MLAs right now, we are capable enough of ironing out differences, if any. The main aim will be to offer a united face in the Assembly.”
When asked whether Quepem MLA Chandrakant ‘Babu’ Kavalekar and Pandurang Madkaikar will be a part of this united front of the Opposition, Reginaldo said, “Each of us in the Opposition is in the same position and that is what makes us one. There may be differences, but none of us can go over to the ruling side by virtue of and simply because of our differences. We have to face the government”.
The Curtorim MLA further said that the Opposition is unanimous on the bad treatment meted out to it by the government. “The problem is that the government doesn’t seem to be listening to voice of the people either,” he stated.
Meanwhile, it was informed that the CLP is likely to raise questions over DefExpo, beach cleaning, Investment Promotion Board, regional plan and monkey fever while raising other issues concerning the administration.
