Authorities raided an abattoir in Calangute after responding to a complaint from the North Goa District Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA).
After DSPCA officials received a reliable lead regarding the abattoir, they along with Calangute police and veterinary officers carried out a raid on Thursday morning.
They seized 71 cans of cattle fat, remains of cows and bulls and other property. The police had raided the same site in 2013.
A DSPCA official has requested the Calangute police to take strict action against the accused under the law.
