To inspire good thoughts in people’s minds, there is a need to revisit the ideas of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar. Everyone should come forward to carry his thoughts forward, said Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar.
He was speaking at an event held in the hall of the Directorate of Art and Culture at Patto-Panaji, on the occasion of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s 68th Mahaparinirvana Day and the 75th Indian Constitution Day.
On this occasion, Bhikaji Kamble, a scholar of Ambedkar movement, was the main speaker. Also present were Ranjita Sandesh Pai, Chairperson of the Goa Commission for Women; Siddhesh Pednekar, Corporator of Pedne Municipality; and Krishna Chopdekar, President of the All Goa Dalit Federation.
Arolkar further stated that efforts are being made to build Ambedkar Bhavan, and the work is progressing rapidly. He assured that the foundation for Ambedkar Bhavan would be laid while he is an MLA.
