The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) on Monday came out with its fifth promise and released its Agriculture Vision document, promising to make Goa a 100 percent organic producing state by 2030 if elected to power.
While releasing the party’s vision document, RGP leader Manoj Parab pointed out how successive governments had failed to give priority to agriculture in the State.
“As a result, the State has become more and more dependent on other states in terms of food products. Our aim is to make Goa a 100 per cent organic producing State by 2030 and it is possible,” said Parab.
The RGP has promised to set up agricultural training institutes up across all 12 talukas.
“We will also bring all agricultural businesses under the Chief Minister’s Rojgar Yojana (CMRY). Khazan lands will also be restored and revived so that cultivation can be promoted,” said Parab.
The RGP has earlier released four lists, promising to provide more jobs, preference to Goans in jobs, stop land sale to non-Goans, preference to locals in contract and tenders, free quality education from primary to post graduate level and quality institutes in the State.
