Mormugao Police arrested Sufiyan Irshad Shaikh (23) of GRB colony in Sada on charges of kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old minor girl and further threatening her with dire consequences.
The accused was arrested under Sections 363, 376, 506(ii) of IPC, the POCSO Act and Section 8 (2) of Goa Children’s Act.
LPSI Vibha Volvoikar is carrying out further investigation under the supervision of PI Alvito Rodrigues and Vikas Swami IPS (IC Mormugao) and guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
