CALANGUTE: Students of Stds 7 and 8 at Kirti Vidyalaya School in Siolim attended an hour-long yoga programme, consisting of a talk on yoga, a presentation and exercises.

Siolim-based medical practitioner, Dr Anil Humraskar, gave the children an advice on yoga.

“This 5000-year-old ancient tradition has been neglected by us and due to this, the society has become sick not only physically, but even mentally,” he said.

He urged the students to perform yoga on a daily basis to remain healthy in body and mind. He also informed the students about some advantages of yoga and felt that yoga could even build up their mental capacity.
