The personnel department has notified rules to recruit (RRs) 11 'network engineers' by a direct recruitment process.
The notification formulating the recruitment rules for the Group “C”, non-gazetted posts in the Directorate of Transport was issued by the Under Secretary (Personnel-I) Eshant Sawant.
It said that the government may also vary the number of posts currently 11, from time to time, depending on exigencies as well as workload.
The essential qualifications quoted in the rules for the post include a Diploma in Computer Science/Electronics and Telecommunications or a degree in Computer, Application, Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications or Information Technology. Knowledge of Konkani is mentioned as essential and of Marathi as desirable.
The method of recruitment will be direct by the transport department, skirting the Goa Staff Selection Commission.
