Mopa Airport police have booked two persons on charges of abusing and manhandling PSI Swapnil Kinalkar, a PSI attached to Mopa Airport police station.
In his complaint, PSI Kinalkar stated that the incident took place at the arrival pickup point of Manohar International Airport, Mopa, on Wednesday at about 10.15 am.
PSI Kinalkar stated that the two accused Siddhesh Narulkar, of Hali Chandel, Pernem and Samil alias Bando Mahale of Ugvem-Pernem allegedly restrained him, abused him and pushed him while he was performing his lawful duties of controlling touting activities along with other staff.
On offence has been registered an under Sections 132, 126 (2), 352, 324(4) r/w 3(5) of BNS 2023. Pernem SDPO Jivba Dalvi informed that a thorough investigation will carried out in the case and that, illegal touting will not be allowed.
Further investigation is in progress by LPSI Sashanka Parab of Mopa Airport Police under the supervision of PI Narayan Chimulkar, Pernem SDPO Dalvi and SP North Akshat Kaushal IPS.
