PANAJI: The Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) on Wednesday cleared the occupants of the upper floors in the fish market building on Wednesday, a day after issuing them 24 hours vacation notice.
However, the meat and poultry traders occupying around 7-8 shops on the ground floor of the building continued to do business and are demanding more time to leave.
The building had been declared unsafe last year and notice served to occupants to vacate. CCP mayor Rohit Monserrate said a decision has been taken to demolish the building as it is unsafe.
