Two persons died in separate road accidents in Usgao and Shiroda on Tuesday.
In one incident, Mahadev Gaude, 43, from Nanus, Usgao was riding his two-wheeler from Khandepar to Usgao in the afternoon when a car going in the same direction stopped at an ATM. The driver opened the door and Gaude crashed into it, leaving him seriously injured. He was taken to a PHC and later to GMC, where he breathed his last.
The police have filed complaint against car driver Tom Xavier originally from Kerala and currently residing at Kasayle, Usgao. Hawaldar K S Sinari is investigating the case.
In another incident at Dabhol, Shiroda, Javed Jabbir Khan, 24, from UP and residing at Shantinagar, Ponda died on the spot.
According to police, deceased Khan was riding pillion along with Shafiqur Khan, 22, also from UP and resident of Shantinagar, when they were proceeding to Sanvordem from Ponda. Their bike collided with the truck coming from front at Dabhol. Rehman escaped with minor injuries.
Ponda police conducted the panchanama and further investigation is underway.
