MARGAO
The Gogol housing board witnessed an uproar on late Tuesday evening after local residents led by the Margao Municipal Council ward councillor Sunita Paradkar apprehended two persons while disposing of chicken waste.
Angry residents pointed out that the chicken and other waste was being frequently disposed of in the housing board area by unscrupulous meat and other traders.
The ward councillor said the local youth had maintained a vigil over the elements involved in disposing of the animal waste in the Housing Board area. “Our youth caught the two persons red-handed while dumping the waste. They revealed that the waste came from neighbouring village of Raia from a business establishment,” she said.
