Chandan Caro, Dhruva Kamat, Khushal Naik, Siddhant Parsekar and Akshan Lawande have moved into the finals of the MCC All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organised by MCC Margao under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association, at MCC Hall, Margao.
In the third ranking tournament of the 2021-22 calendar season, Chandan, playing in Hopes U-11 category eased past Arha Sahakari 3-0 in the semifinals to set up a title clash with Dhruva who was made to sweat hard before prevailing to a 3-2 win over Chinmay Bhakre in the other semis. In Cadet Boys (U13) age group, Khushal Naik who has been in fine form this season registered a facile 3-0 win over Chandan Caro in the semis. In the other semis, Siddhant Parsekar prevailed over Rishan Sheikh 3-1 to set up a clash with the top seed. Khushal meanwhile moved into one more finals, defeating Rishan Sheikh 3-0 in Sub Juniors (U15) boys. The other semis was a thrilling contest between Akshan Lawande and Aaron Farias with the former edging his way to a narrow 3-2 win.
