CANACONA
Health authorities have already vaccinated a majority of eligible residents in Canacona, while Covid cases continue to decline in the taluka.
According to health sources, a total of 51,236 people have been vaccinated, with 20,110 having received both doses of Covid vaccinations and 31,126 have received the first dose so far.
Among these beneficiaries, 14,548 are those over 18 years.
Meanwhile, the Canacona Community Health Centre (CHC) has announced fresh vaccination drives in Khotigao, Shrishthal and Canacona municipal areas from Wednesday.
The vaccination camp will take place in Khotigao Panchayat Hall (full day) and GPS School Vaizawdda-Shristhal (till 1 pm) on October 13, while the camp will be at GPS Tarir (morning) and Devkipurush Hall in Patnem (evening) on October 18.
Three new Covid cases, one each at Agonda, Galgibaga and Sadolxem, were recorded on Tuesday, while there were 6 recoveries on the same day. The active cases have now dropped to about 25. The total of 3,709 Covid cases have been reported from Canacona Taluka, with 3,650 having recovered from the disease.
