Three persons have been arrested on charges of stealing mobile phones from tourists in Anjuna.
Police said a complainant, Mohammad Sinan, and a friend were holding their mobiles in their hands at the Anjuna parking lot on Monday evening, when some riders on a two-wheeler away their mobiles and fled from the scene.
The complainant noted down the registration number of the two-wheeler and shared it with the police when he filed a police complaint.
Acting on this information, police nabbed the suspects, Daniel Das Sandos Aveiro from South Kerala and Amir Ahmed Shervan from Kanniparamba-Kerala, and recovered the mobiles.
Meanwhile on April 19, Harish Kumar from Rajasthan also complained about a theft of a mobile phone.
Acting on information, Anjuna police arrested Gagan Deep Singh from Ambala-Haryana and recovered the stolen mobile phone.
Further investigation is in progress.
