30 posts relating to sting operation deleted: CEO

Chief Electoral Officer Kunal on Monday said a total of 30 posts on social media sites were deleted as an action on the complaint filed for sharing a video pertaining to a sting operation during the silent period of 48 hours prior to election.

The CEO said sharing of election related material during the silent period is an offence under the Representation of the People’s Act and accordingly, action was taken.
