A two-wheeler rider from Canacona, 50-year-old Divakar Dessai succumbed to his injuries at the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
Cuncolim police informed that the deceased had met with an accident when he was proceeding to Balli from Canacona when a monkey came under the wheel of his scooter when he reached Subdolem bus stand.
Police said the rider fell down on the road, sustaining injuries, while the monkey died on the spot.
The victim was first referred to the Balli Primary health Centre from where he was shifted to the GMC, Bambolim where is succumbed to his injuries.
