The police department on Tuesday issued an order promoting 57 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) to the rank of Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs). Those promoted include 9 women ASIs and 7 ASIs from the reserved category.
Inspector General of Police Rajesh Kumar issued the promotion order and those promoted will be on a two-year probation.
The general category ASIs promoted are Deepak Halarnkar, Santosh Rama Kolambkar, Satish Vithoba Naik, Satish M Naik, Sandeep Naik, Mahadev Naik, Ganesh Gawas, Ramesh Gaonkar, Sudan Bagkar, Subhash Naik, Krishna Toraskar, Dnyaneshwar Malik, Vilas Patil, Premanand Rane, Ashok Pandrekar, Tukaram Pednekar, Govind Naik, Ravindrakumar Sawant, Umakant Gazinkar, Pandurang Gawas, Shrikant Rane, Dayanand Palyekar, Mohan Kalangutkar, Satyawan Naik, Sureshkumar Vaigankar, Suryakant Gawas, Ramesh Bhosale, Madhukar Gawas, Vishram Raul, Eknath Naik, Uday Salunke, Lavoo Raul, Dilkush Dessai, Ramesh Gawas, Subhash Gaonkar, Deepak Sawant, Albert Fernandes, Krishna Ghogle, Pradip Kubal, Estella Braganza e Rodrigues and Sayed Suleman.
The women ASIs who have been promoted are Poonam Kaunthankar, Manisha Khot, Adhika Gaonkar, Deepali Dessai, Sprasha Salunke, Ramila Ramesh Parsekar, Sunita Harmalkar, Diksha Sakhalkar and Deepa Desai.
Those promoted from the reserved category are Ramesh Harijan (SC), Anand Gaonkar (ST), Keshav Gaonkar (ST), Suhas Velip (ST), Ramakant Velip (ST), Ratnakar Velip (ST) and Vithaldas Kuttikar (ST).
Meanwhile, a direct recruitment process of 145 police sub-inspectors is in progress and written tests have been conducted recently.
