The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Goa, on Tuesday caught six overstaying foreign nationals, all Russian citizens, during an enforcement drive in Mandrem.
Goa Police said action has been initiated against them under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
In a statement, FRRO Goa advised all accommodation providers to strictly follow Form III/Form C requirements.
“Arrival or check-in details of foreign nationals must be submitted within 24 hours of check-in. All particulars must be entered correctly and completely, and departure or check-out details must also be updated within 24 hours,” it said.
Officials added that the requirement applies even to Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and accompanying minor children of foreigners.
It also warned that failure to ensure timely and accurate compliance would attract penal action under the law.
