7 Mapusa ITI students secure 100% scores at AITT exams

The Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Mapusa, has made Goa proud, with seven of its students securing a perfect score of 600/600 marks in their respective trades at the All India Trade Test (AITT) held in July 2026.

A total of 150 students from the Mapusa ITI appeared for the examination in seven different trades conducted under the Central Government’s National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Of these, 136 trainees were declared successful.

The seven students who scored 600/600 marks are Sina Vazarkar (Secretarial Practice), Rituja Pednekar (Secretarial Practice), Vaishnavi Kannaik (Secretarial Practice), Tejas Shetkar (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant – COPA), Manjula Jolannavar (COPA), Chanchalakumari Ram (Cosmetology) and Vaishnavi Dhuri (Cosmetology).

On Wednesday, CM Pramod Sawant felicitated all seven meritorious trainees for their outstanding performance.

Secretary (Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department) Prasad Lolayekar and Director Vinayak Kambli were also present.

Last year, three students from the Mapusa ITI had also scored 100% marks in their respective trades. Two of them were selected as ‘West Zone Toppers’ and were felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

Excellence at the Mapusa ITI is not limited to its students.

The institute’s faculty has also excelled at the national level. Leena Porob (G.I. – COPA) received the ‘Kaushalyacharya Award’ in 2021, Natasha Carvalho (V. Cosmetology) received the National Teacher Award in 2024, and Deepak Dhaimode (G.I. – COPA) received the National Teacher Award in 2025.
