88 vaccinated for KFD at Mauxi
as vaccines arrive in State

With an estimated 1,500 vaccinations arriving in the State on Thursday, authorities lost no time in dispatching the supplies to the Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) centre at Mauxi-Sattari and 88 residents were vaccinated on Friday.
Valpoi CHC Health Officer Dr Surekha Parulekar and her team of doctors vaccinated 88 residents of Mauxi on the first day at the KFD vaccination centre, which was inaugurated at Mauxi on Friday.
The KFD vaccination schedule, which started from March 4, will continue till March 19 and will cover all the affected villages, including Valpoi Municipal Council (VMC) area.
Sources from the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Valpoi informed The Goan that 1,500 vaccinations arrived in the State on March 3, while the remaining quota is expected soon.
“After 88 residents of Mauxi were vaccinated for KFD, the vaccinations drive will be conducted in all affected villages, including Koporde, Dabem, Zarme, Charvane, Morlem Colony, Saleli, Bhuipal, Dhave, Honda, Kumbarkhand, Keri, Velus and VMC area,” the source said.
Vishwajeet K Rane, Deepaji Rane, Prashant Desai, Mauxi Sarpanch Tukaram Gaonkar, Rajesh Rane and Sushant Paste were present during the vaccination drive on Friday.
