AAP organises Goa Dialogues in Nuvem

Over 250 people turned up to express their views on the next Goa Manifesto through Goa Dialogues organized by the Aam Aadmi Party in Nuvem constituency.

People invoked the selfless work of Fr Basil Andrade and the need to do the same in Goa as they remembered how he had worked for bettering villages and improving human values.
Expressing his view, Joao Pereira spoke on scrapping of the RP, dangerous effects of the IPB, strengthening the information commission and appointment of a a minority commission.
Laxmi Gonsalves suggested Comunidade land has to be used exclusively for Goans. She also expressed the need to protect old Comunidade documents.  
A youth from Majorda, Nelroy D’costa, said there was a need to educate people on the different schemes available through the panchayats.  
Other issues that came up for discussion were bad state of roads, improvement of health services, toilets and changing rooms near beaches and illegal structures.
Ernest Moraes welcomed all the guests, Rupesh Shinkre spoke about the need for the dialogue and the process that is being followed.

Religious ceremony of Saptah concludes

The religious ceremony of Lord Damodar Saptah came to an end on Tuesday afternoon with the immersion of sreefal that was placed at the feet of the lord last year.

the goan I networkVASCO The concluding religious ceremony started at about 11 am on Tuesday amid prayers and chanting of kirtans by devotees. The sreefal was then taken out by a devotee appointed by the Saptah bhajani committee. Devotees dancing to the tune of bhajans proceeded towards Vasco beach for immersion.   The ceremony concluded at about 2 pm.
