The Aam Aadmi Party has accused both the Congress and BJP coming together to compromise the common good of the state in favour of a
few through their joint attempts to find out means and ways so that mining operations in the state were not affected due to a recent order of the Supreme Court.
“Mining wealth belongs to the people of the place and should be distributed equally and that is what the Supreme Court has said. We demand that this delegation first spell out their course of dialogue with the people of the state who have a right to know what will be discussed and what will be the advantages/disadvantages of such a move,” said AAP leader Siddharth Karapurkar said.
“Instead, the all-party delegation is surely carrying the brief of the select few who have been enjoying the mining wealth, as a payback for the funding they received,” he added. “The CM should, as the head of the government, remember his loud claims of mining loot leading to the closure of mining when he came to power in 2012 and others and not try to defy the orders of the highest court of the land,” Karapurkar added.
“Is it a coincidence that all these parties come together to defeat Supreme Court orders only if it affects a few?”
