Active cases under UHC Panaji continue to rise

The active Covid-19 cases under Urban Health Centre (UHC) Panaji shot up to 112 from 107 on Friday. The active cases under UHC Margao also continued to be high and stood at 106.

As per the daily bulletin of the Directorate of Health Services, seven other health centres are presently monitoring over 30 active cases of Covid-19 each. These include Primary Health Centre (PHC) Chimbel (55), UHC Vasco (49), UHC Mapusa (47), PHC Ponda (43), PHC Porvorim

PANAJIOne Covid related death was recorded in the state on Friday raising Goa’s Covid victim count to 804.The deceased was an 80-year-old man from Quepem who passed away at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.The daily positivity rate remained high at 4.7 per cent with the Health Department detecting a total of 82 new cases of the infection from 1,727 samples tested on Friday.
