Vijai receives jab, asks govt to expedite vaccination exercise

MARGAO
Making a plea to the government to expedite the Covid vaccination exercise to cover as many citizens as possible, Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai has offered the party’s support to the government in terms of logistics to take the vaccination drive to the doorsteps of the people.

After taking a jab at the Margao Urban Health Centre on Friday, the Fatorda MLA expressed reservations over the ongoing vaccination, saying it may take two years to cover the population of Margao and Fatorda. “Presently, the health officials are giving a jab to 200 persons from Margao and Fatorda every day. Going by these statistics, it will take a minimum of two years to cover Margao and Fatorda, which plays host to one lakh population,” he said.
