The delegation explained Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Margao Sidhant Shirodkar that while the Maina-Curtorim police have been prompted in registering FIR against Pereira, no FIR is registered against the Nuvem sarpanch till date.
Pereira demanded to know from SDPO SP, Sidhant Shirodkar why a FIR is not registered against Nuvem Sarpanch Freda D’Sa till date. “The police had detained me under preventive detention. The police have also registered a FIR against me based on the complaint from the sarpanch. Sadly, the police have not initiated similar action against the Nuvem sarpanch,” she lamented.
SDPO Shirodkar gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the police will act after completing the inquiry.
