Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told the Goa Legislative Assembly that 121 government services in the State and over 200 services of the central government will be made available at the Citizen Service Centres (CSCs) in Goa.
“Before August 15, we will inaugurate the additional services which will be made available at the various CSCs,” Sawant said, during the Question Hour.
Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar said it would be beneficial if Form 1 and 14 and residence certificates were made available both online and offline, especially for the convenience of the elderly.
Revenue Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate informed the House that the documents were available both online and offline.
He said citizens also have the alternative to submit the applications to the concerned talathi who will assist the person and help him to get the certificates.
Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar said most of the time the talathis in his constituency were not available thereby causing inconvenience to locals.
St Cruz MLA Rudolf Fernandes seconded him stating that this problem existed in many places including in his constituency.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai informed that application fees for Form 1 and 14 which was earlier Rs 10 have now been hiked to Rs 45 which was very high for a poor farmer and urged the government to reduce the fee for farmers.
