Admissions open for courses at labour welfare centres

PANAJI: Admissions will be open from June 1 to June 30 for the course in embroidery needle work, cutting and tailoring of ten months duration, through the labour welfare centres under the Office of the Commissioner, Labour and Employment. The courses will begin w.e.f. July 1. Children and dependants of industrial workers desirous of availing training are requested to apply for the same in the application form, available at the nearest labour welfare centres at Panaji, Kumbharjua, Mapusa, Sodiem-Siolim, Pernem, Morjum, Torxem, Bicholim, Pale, Ponda, Shiroda, Curchorem, Gudi, Paroda Quepem, Margao, Navelim, Kirbhat Carmona, Varca, Balli, Vasco Benaulim, Zuarinagar Sancoale, Chandrawaddo Fatorda, Vaddem, Kurdi, Sanguem, Morod, Sangolda and Assonora-Bardez Goa.

PANAJI: The Directorate of Art and Culture is organizing various activities/programmes to commemorate the Birth Centenary of late Dinanath Dalal, renowned Goan artist who has contributed in the field of Indian art.The department will be holding an exhibition of paintings, drawings, graphic prints of Goan fine artists as a tribute to the legendary Goan artist.
