PANAJI: SP (Anti-Corruption Branch) Bosco George, who lead his team of sleuths in the arrest of Goa Chief Minister's brother-in-law in a bribery case recently, has been transferred from his present posting to Security, Wireless, State Police Control Room, Panaji.
The Department of Personnel on Friday issued the transfer order in the name of the Governor of Goa. The same order, signed by Under Secretary, Personnel-II Surendra Naik, also transferred and posted senior IPS officer Vimal Anand Gupta as the new SP in-charge of ACB and Foreigners’ regional Registration Officer, Panaji.
SP Bosco George held the post of SP in-charge of ACB for almost three years prior to this transfer. Among the recent cases handled successfully by ACB team led by Bosco George is the one which resulted in the arrest of Dilip Malvankar, brother-in-law of Chief Minsiter Laxmikant Parsekar, who was nabbed red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh for issuance of a plot at the Tuem industrial estate in August.
Malvankar was one of the two employees of Goa Industrial Development Corporation arrested in the case.
