Newly installed Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday said development and time bound completion of projects will be his priority.
After taking the oath in Mumbai, Shinde returned to Goa at midnight to meet his colleagues who had supported him in rebelling against Uddhav Thackeray only to fly back to Mumbai on Friday.
Before leaving for Mumbai, Shinde spoke to the media where he said that he will resolve all issues pertaining to constituencies and areas of the 50 rebel legislators and independents.
"I will resolve their issues. I have all the records. There will be no shortage of funds to carry out developmental works in their constituencies," Shinde said.
The new CM-elect of Maharashtra, who was sworn in on Thursday night, called the developments a "victory of Hindutva ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray and teachings of Anand Dhige".
His group of MLAs who are holed up at the Taj hotel in Dona Paula are expected to leave directly for the confidence vote.
On the trust vote, Shinde said it will just be a formality and he along with the BJP has a strength of 175 MLAs.
"We have 175 numbers, the picture is clear," he said.
"This is a historic incident. People hobnob for getting power, but they stepped out for development," Shinde said.
