The institute, which has been North Goa’s only engineering college for several years, has graduated more than 10 batches of students. According to the management, alumni are currently employed in companies across Goa, other parts of India, and overseas, while some have ventured into entrepreneurship.
Officials clarified that the renaming does not alter the institution’s ownership or functioning, and that it will continue to operate under the Fr Agnel Ashram, Pilar Fathers, with the same academic framework and values.
The management stated that around 90 per cent of engineering students secure placements through campus recruitment. It added that efforts are also being made to promote entrepreneurship through specialised MBA programmes in Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship.
The institute’s Centre of Incubation and Business Exploration (CIBA) provides mentoring and support for startups, including guidance on accessing government schemes.
AIEM also conducts technical events such as Robo Wars and Techurja, and undertakes community outreach initiatives including career guidance and awareness programmes in rural areas.
