South Goa adv assn elects new executive body for 2026“28 The new managing committee of the South Goa Advocates Association headed by President by Adv Antonio Cloves Da Costa.

Adv Antonio Clovis Da Costa has been elected as the President of the South Goa Advocates Association for the year 2026-28.

Other members elected to the body are Adv Karmalkar Tushar (vice-president), Adv Chuvo Barbosa (Secretary), Joe Cronny D’Silva (Treasurer).

Adv Anne Cheryl Joanes (Margao), Adv Prashant Borkar (Quepem), Adv Kashinath Sawant Desai (Sanguem), Adv Chandrakant Kavrekar (Vasco) and Adv Mangush Abhilasha Desai (Canacona) have been elected as members.

Adv Y Pawankumari Palekar is elected as the lady representative.

During the first committee meeting held on April 29, the South Goa Advocates Association (S.G.A.A.) has resolved to take steps in order to streamline several issues pertaining to the hardship faced by lawyers, litigants and public at large before the Civil Courts and Revenue Authorities in South Goa.

The South Goa Advocates Association (S.G.A.A.) is a body comprising of 800 lawyers and has taken up several issues concerning lawyers, litigants and public at large. In more recent past the South Goa Advocates Association (S.G.A.A.) had filed PIL/Writ Petitions before the High Court of Bombay at Goa pertaining to issues such as oxygen crisis during covid pandemic in the state of Goa and has also succeeded in obtaining favourable Orders for computerisation and digitalisation of Revenue Courts.
