An all-women team of Election Observers for the South Goa Lok Sabha constituency, comprising of General Observer, Expenditure Observer and Police Observer, have come down to Goa ahead of the May 7 Lok Sabha polls.
The General observer, Monica Malik, IAS, Expenditure Observer Vrunda Desai, IRS and Police Observer, Sargun Shukla, IPS will be available for the general public, leaders of political parties and contesting candidates for all the 20 Assembly segments, in Room No. 404, 4th floor, Collectorate of South Goa as per the schedule chalked out by the District Collector and Returning Officer, Asvin Chandru.
General Observer, Monica Malik of the IAS 2009 batch will be available for the general public and contesting candidates on April 25 and May 2 in the South district Collectorate from 11 am to 12 noon. She can be contacted on telephone number 7822952642.
Expenditure Observer Vrunda Desai, IRS 2003, will be available for the public in the district Collectorate on April 24-25 from 12 am to 1 pm. The Telephone number of the Expenditure observer is 7499456309.
The Police Observer Sargun Shukla, IPS 2012 will be available in the District Collectorate office for the public on April 24, 25 and 26 and again on May 1, 2 and 3 from 11 am to 12.30 pm. Her telephone number is 9511014479.
Meanwhile, District Collector Asvin Chandru has requested members of the public to file their election-related complaints/grievances online on the website www.ceogoa.nic.in or complaints regarding the violation of the Model Code of Conduct on the CVIGIL mobile app.
He further informed that a Control Room for reporting violations has also been set up at the district level in the Collectorate of South Goa District, Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex, Margao - Phone: 2794100.
As already reported by The Goan, the district election authorities have made arrangements for accommodation for the election observers at a starred resort at Utorda.
