For a change, the Bhomkars who are fighting a long drawn battle against the road-widening project participated in the celebration of the consecration of Ram Mandir by partaking in various activities organised at Shree Nagzarkar Devasthan at Nagzari-Bhoma on Monday night.
Bhajan singing, Deepotsav, pooja, dance performances, Fugdi, etc were part of the activities as the Bhomkars were seen enjoying as one big family in the activities which were organised through the contribution of the villagers themselves.
Speaking to The Goan, the locals informed that they too are partaking in the historic occasion of the consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya with the organisation of various programmes at Shree Nagzarkar Devasthan.
“As Hindus, Lord Ram is in our hearts and today, we decided to celebrate the consecration of Ram Mandir with the hope that the darkness in our village is done away with and Ram Rajya prevails not only in Bhoma but in Goa as well,” a local Sanjay Naik said.
