Asserting there is no Ram Rajya in Goa, Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai on Monday underscored the need to bring Ram Rajya in the state by taking all sections of the society together.
The Goa Forward party celebrated Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram by bringing citizens from Hindu , Catholic & Muslim community together at Fatorda.
Earlier in the morning, the Goa Forward Chief visited the Ram Temple located on the Abade Faria road to offer prayers on the occasion of Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram.
“There is no Ram Rajya in Goa. We have to bring it in future by taking all sections of society together”, he said
He also said that in last 10 years, around 42 per cent tax was collected from poor and rest was equally collected from middle class and rich. “But only 18 per cent of the tax was spent on poor and three per cent on infrastructure. How can this be Ram Rajya”, he questioned.
Saying that Ayodhya has to be now developed into a spiritual tourism, Sardesai said “in the same way this year, St Francis Xavier exposition should be also a spiritual tourism. This is Ram Rajya”.
