Anjuna Police arrested two persons in a drug raid and allegedly seized LSD papers worth Rs 1 lakh from the accused.
The accused duo Suraj Todi (29) of Karnataka and Kalidas Naik of Anjuna were nabbed by the police.
Police formed a team after receiving information that an accused drug dealer would come with drugs in a car at Udo Beach, Siolim. The police team waited for hours and finally intercepted the car.
After thoroughly searching the car, police recovered 10 LSD papers worth Rs 1 lakh.
According to police, the accused Suraj Todi was driving the car and was in possession of the LSD papers.
Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi informed that an offence under Section 22(b) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 was registered against the accused.
Police informed that during the interrogation, the accused revealed that the LSD papers were sold by one Kalidas Kali Naik of Anjuna. Accordingly, another team was formed and Anjuna police successfully arrested Naik on Thursday evening.
