Another death on road; this time at Tivre

A 35-year-old native of Uttar Pradesh died in an accident involving a motorcycle and a jeep at Tivre-Banastarim on Thursday.

Ponda Police informed that the accident occurred when the motorcyclist, Bhushan Potan, who was residing at Khandola-Marcela, was proceeding towards Marcela, while the jeep was proceeding from the opposite direction. Potan died while on the way to hospital. The jeep driver fled from the spot.   
The police informed that the deceased was not wearing helmet at the time of the accident. Ponda Police is investigating the case.

AAP wants CM to put a stop to illegal mining in Sonshi village

Following the arrests in the village of Sonshi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday demanded that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar stop all illegal mining in the area and free the jailed villagers.
