In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old youth drowned while swimming in a lake at Tivim on Tuesday evening, Colvale police informed.
The deceased has been identified as Nasim Shah of Gotnichoval, Colvale.
The police informed that the deceased had gone to swim in a lake near the Ganesh temple at Maddel, Tivim along with two others but accidentally got drowned.
After getting information Colvale police rushed to the site.
Later, the police along with the fire personnel fished out the body and sent it for autopsy.
Further investigations are on.
